MP2 Radiofrequency Treatment

Venus Freeze™, a platform treatment of the Versa can offer a non-surgical anti-ageing treatment that will tighten the skin and diminish deep wrinkles, with no downtime required and the results are optimum. As our skin ages, it produces less collagen and elastin which results in dull lifeless skin. Venus Freeze will boost collagen production by heating the deep tissue layers of the skin within the dermis and the subcutaneous layers. This treatment will tighten the skin, smooth and deep lines and wrinkles and the skin will look fresh and rejuvenated. Sagging skin can be hard to deal with, especially since it cannot be easily targeted with diet and exercise alone. Loose skin is a struggle wherever you find it—over the cheekbones, around your chin, under your arms and your waistline. In the past, surgical procedures or injectables have been the go-to solution for skin tightening. Fortunately, that isn’t the case anymore. More people are going for Non-surgical treatments to rejuvenate the appearance of their skin safely and comfortably.

The Venus Versa Technology

The Venus Freeze treatment works with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Radio Frequency using both Multi-polar currents and Pulsed Magnetic Fields, this is currently the only skincare science that offers this combined technology. Magnetic pulses are tiny electrical signals that stimulate fibroblasts and cellular repair. Fibroblasts produce collagen and elastin. As we age this process slows down. By stimulating fibroblasts we speed up this skin rejuvenation activity. Aside from the safe, FDA-approved scientific technology, this treatment is very relaxing with no side effects or downtime. A lunchtime ‘red carpet’ facial is incredibly popular and ideal for on-the-go clients.

IPL Laser Treatments

Skin Rejuvenation & Wrinkle Reduction

Wrinkles aren’t only caused by ageing skin, they are formed from prolonged sun exposure, diet, stress, hormone changes, smoking, and other lifestyle factors that prematurely age your appearance. If you want to steer away from invasive injectables you may be the perfect candidate for non-surgical wrinkle reduction. With just a few quick sessions, these radio frequency-based treatments can help undo the appearance of skin damage, and restore smoother, more youthful-looking skin.

IPL can treat common skin concerns such as pigmentation, rosacea, sun damage, age spots, uneven skin-tone and visible thread veins. Often these concerns are caused by UV sun exposure, not wearing high factor at least SPF 30, and the natural ageing process. Conditions can vary considerably in size, shape and depth, and be raised or flat. They commonly appear on the face, neck, décolletage, back of the hands and body.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment is a safe, precise, and effective way of treating these skin concerns with minimal effect on the surrounding skin. Although it cannot be cured, IPL is a safe and effective way to control Rosacea. IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment is a safe and effective way of treating thread veins with minimal effect on the surrounding skin. The earlier you start treatment, the easier it is to remove them.

Venus Versa Hair Removal

We are transforming hair removal by using advanced technology to permanently reduce unwanted hair on the face and body. Shaving, waxing and depilatory creams might be a quick fix, but they only get rid of the hair at the surface, and actually encourage more hair growth.

Venus Concept produces high-end lasers that truly deliver amazing results. Up to 90% hair reduction can be visible after just a few sessions but a course of 6 is recommended.

Venus Versa hair removal works with advanced technology that targets and destroys the hair follicle. It then detaches the newly growing hair bulb from its blood supply which stimulates hair growth. IPL laser hair removal is a permanent hair reduction, alongside a course of treatment. The Venus Versa laser has a unique crystal cooling system so you barely feel anything during the treatment.

It has the technology to treat skin types 1- 6. 1 being very caucasian skin and 6 being black skin. IPL Laser works by being absorbed by melanin, the pigment in hair colour, we can treat hair from mousy blonde, red, ginger, brown and black, but we cannot unfortunately treat very blonde hair or white hair.

Venus Versa FAQs

What does an IPL photofacial do?

An IPL photofacial is a non-invasive aesthetic treatment that uses intense pulsed light (IPL) to rejuvenate the skin. It targets various skin concerns such as age spots, brown spots, sun damage, redness, rosacea, broken capillaries, thread veins and spider veins. The procedure may help to improve or remove the most common signs of blemished skin. IPL stimulates collagen production, resulting in smoother, more even-toned skin with a youthful glow.

Is IPL photofacial worth it?

IPL photofacial can be worth it for those seeking to improve their skin's appearance by targeting issues like pigmentation, brown spots, redness, spider veins, thread veins, and sun damage. The treatment offers relatively quick results with minimal downtime. However, it may not be suitable for all skin types and can require multiple sessions for optimal results.

How long do IPL photofacial results last?

IPL photofacial results last depending on factors such as affected area, skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. To maintain optimal results, it's recommended to have follow-up treatments every 6 to 12 months, and follow a strict skincare routine.

Is IPL photofacial painful?

IPL photofacial treatments may cause mild discomfort, but they are generally not considered painful. Patients often describe the sensation as a warm, tingling, or rubber band snap-like feeling. Topical numbing cream and cooling devices can be used to minimise any discomfort during the procedure.

How many sessions of IPL photofacial do you need?

The number of IPL photofacial sessions required varies for each individual and depends on the severity of each case. Typically, 3 to 6 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart are recommended for optimal results. Factors such as skin type, targeted concerns, and desired outcomes can influence the total number of sessions needed. In some cases for mild to moderate concerns such as spider veins, one treatment may be enough.

Does IPL photofacial tighten skin?

IPL photofacial primarily targets pigmentation, sun damage, and broken capillaries, but does not significantly tighten skin. However, it may mildly improve skin texture and tone, giving a subtle tightening effect. For more noticeable skin tightening, treatments like radiofrequency is recommended.

What does your face look like after an IPL treatment?

After an IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatment, your face may appear slightly red but this is normal and the treated area will begin to develop over the next few days or weeks. You may also notice darkening of pigmented areas or small, coffee ground-like spots on the skin. These side effects are temporary and typically subside within a few hours to a week, revealing a refreshed and more even-toned complexion.

Who should not get an IPL photofacial?

People who should not get an IPL photofacial include pregnant women, individuals with skin infections or conditions (e.g. eczema, psoriasis), those with a history of keloid scarring, and people on certain medications (e.g. isotretinoin, photosensitising drugs). Additionally, individuals with dark skin tones or a recent tan should avoid the treatment due to a higher risk of complications like hyperpigmentation. Always book a consultation and patch test for IPL prior to treatment.

What are the side effects of an IPL photofacial?

An IPL photofacial, or Intense Pulsed Light therapy, is a non-invasive skin treatment used to improve the appearance of various skin concerns. Possible side effects include redness, swelling, temporary darkening of pigmentation, mild discomfort, and, rarely, blistering or scarring. Most side effects are short-lived and resolve within a few days. To minimise risks. It's important to follow aftercare advice.

Is IPL better than Microneedling?

It's not accurate to say that IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is categorically better than microneedling, as each treatment has its own merits and is suited for different skin concerns. IPL is typically more effective for addressing pigmentation issues, sun damage, and redness, while microneedling excels in treating fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars. Book a consultation to determine the most suitable treatment for your specific skin needs.
