Skin Blemishes

Skin blemishes are imperfections in the skin that a variety of factors, including acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and ageing can cause. Blemishes can be visible on the surface of the skin, such as skin tags, warts, moles, acne/acne scarring, pigmentation, dark spots, or they can be hidden beneath the skin, such as milia and cysts.

While blemishes are harmless from a physical standpoint, they can significantly impact a person’s confidence and self-esteem. Skin blemishes can leave people feeling self-conscious, resulting in them avoiding social activities.

The Kent Aesthetics Clinic offers a variety of advanced aesthetic solutions to improve or remove the most common skin imperfections. These treatments include:

  • Electrolysis – This treatment can remove all types of skin blemishes. It works by inserting a fine tiny needle, followed by an electrical current into the treated area.
  • Chemical Peels – Peels help remove the top layer of the skin to reveal a fresh, new layer underneath. Chemical peels can also be used to treat acne, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Microneedling – This method can be used to create tiny microchannels in the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Microneedling can also be used to treat acne, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, and stretch marks.
  • IPL (Intense Pulsed Light Technology) – IPL laser penetrates into the dermis skin layers to remove visible pigmentation and blemishes. This removes the top layer of the skin to reveal a new skin layer. IPL Laser skin resurfacing can also be used to treat acne, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, and scars.

It is important to note that everyone’s skin is different and will respond to treatments differently. We recommend consulting with a qualified aesthetician to determine the best course of treatment for your individual needs.
